Bacon On Passing of Former Rep. Johnson

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) issued the following statement in regards to the passing of former Congress,an Sam Johnson:

"Retired Congressman Sam Johnson was an American Hero and a conservative stalwart in Congress. I am thankful to have known him and thank him for his service of 29 years as an Air Force fighter pilot. He endured barbaric torture during his captivity at the infamous Hanoi Hilton and graced our legislative halls for 28 years. My prayers to his family and loved ones. Thanks will never be enough for his dedication to our nation."
