There has been much confusion and misinformation about the infrastructure bill that I support and plan on voting for when it comes up, as long as it is not coupled with Bernie Sander’s $3.5 trillion socialist giveaway bill.
I support the bipartisan bill that passed the U.S. Senate and is focused on ‘hard-infrastructure’ only – roads, bridges, airports, seaports, locks, and broadband. It is NOT intertwined with any other bill.
I support the bipartisan bill that is largely funded by unspent COVID money. It does not raise taxes on our businesses and families.
I support this bill which was based off a version developed by myself and Members of the Problem Solvers Caucus last spring. It was not developed by one party only with one set of interests in mind.
Finally, I support this bill that is favored by over two-thirds of constituents in our district. https://www.nature.org/en-us/newsroom/nebraska-infrastructure-poll/
I also believe our constituents want to see Congress actually solve a problem and stop the rabid partisanship they see every night on TV.
As always, I appreciate your thoughts, concerns, and questions. You can share those with me via email or phone. https://bacon.house.gov/contact/
