Federal funds will go to pedestrian safety will give $2 million toward Saddle Creek walkway

The University of Nebraska Medical Center plans to build a walkway over Leavenworth, and it will now be joined by a similar path over Saddle Creek Road.

The city along with federal funds sourced by Rep. Don Bacon are sponsoring the path as part of the city's Vision Zero effort to reduce traffic deaths and increase pedestrian safety.
