Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide art competition for high school students from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories. This competition is open to all high school students in the Third District. The overall winner of our district's competition will have his or her artwork displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. Internships

Internships in my Washington, D.C. and Third District offices offer students an exciting opportunity to learn about the legislative process firsthand while working side-by-side with experienced full-time staff. For more details about the internship program, please click here.

U.S. Service Academy Nominations

Each year, I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of young Nebraskans to four of the five U.S. Service Academies. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation.
