– Rabbi Steven Abraham of Beth El Synagogue delivered the opening prayer in the U.S. House of Representatives today, as the guest of Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02). Following the prayer, Rep. Bacon delivered remarks thanking him for his leadership in the community.

“I was humbled when Rabbi Abraham agreed to deliver the opening prayer as he is a not only a leader in the Jewish community, but in the community as a whole,” said Rep. Bacon. “I call on all of us to heed the words offered in prayer by the Rabbi. We must all humble ourselves to the wisdom of the Almighty and let us always try to be a voice for the voiceless and serve with compassion and courage.”
