Washington, DC – Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02) today voted in favor of H.Res. 1130, to show support for the sovereign decision of Finland and Sweden to apply to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) as well as calling on all members of NATO to ratify the protocols of accession swiftly, as amended. The resolution passed with a vote of 394 to 18.

“Sweden and Finland will bring great strength to NATO,” said Bacon. “This is another momentous sign of unity among allies in response to Putin's aggression. Together, our nations are committed to protecting democracy, individual liberty, human rights, and the rule of law. I thank my colleagues from both sides of the aisle for supporting this resolution and standing in solidarity with our European allies.”
