Rep. Bacon Issues Statement Thanking Public & Private Partners for Work on Ambulatory Care Clinic for VeteransFacility Will Be First to Combine Public and Private Resources
Omaha, NE,
April 19, 2017
OMAHA, NE – Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) issued the following statement regarding the public-private partnership that will fund a new ambulatory care clinic at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Omaha: “I want to thank the non-profit Heritage Services and the Veterans Affairs Department for coming together on this first-of-its-kind project in which government funds will be combined with private funds to deliver the care our veterans need and deserve. This out-of-the-box thinking reflects government reform and fiscal responsibility; both of which I have championed as greatly needed for our country to thrive. The age of our current VA Hospital facility does not provide the modern facilities and care our veterans deserve. This will provide them a more modern, effective clinic to take care of their health needs as they were promised. After many years of hard work on this initiative by former members of the Nebraska delegation, and current Senator Deb Fischer, this represents a monumental achievement we should all be proud of. I look forward to continuing the work with my colleague Senator Fischer to see this project to fruition.” ### |
