Congressman Don Bacon is against moving SNAP benefits to state level

The federal government continues to make cuts to its budget, and on the state level Nebraska is following suit.

Congressman Don Bacon said one federal cut could be a big burden on Nebraska.

He said he opposes moving some of the costs of the supplemental nutrition assistance program or SNAP to the states.

That's why Bacon said he spoke up against the plan that would require states to pay a portion of the benefit costs, which are currently 100% federally funded.
