Sarpy County intersection getting a makeover with safety in mind

On Tuesday, the Sarpy County Board will vote to commit $800,275 towards safety improvements on an intersection near two Platteview schools.

It's the intersection of 132nd and Platteview Road. Right now, the area is a four way stop. This project will add traffic signals, center turn lanes and widen Platteview Road. The total estimated project cost is $2,240,275, with federal funds covering $1,440,000. Sarpy County worked with Congressman Don Bacon to secure that federal Community Project Funding.
