'We're at this crisis point:' Nebraska nonprofits meet with Rep. Bacon on shutdown

Nebraska nonprofits are facing an unprecedented crisis as the government shutdown reaches 30 days.

Several nonprofits joined a roundtable with Rep. Don Bacon, including the Nonprofit Association of the Midlands, Food Bank for the Heartland, Heartland Hope Mission and Offutt Advisory Council. As over 150,000 Nebraskans face a pause to SNAP benefits and federal workers and military work without pay, they say they're facing a sharp increase in need.
