BACON RECEIVES ISEA DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02) today was recognized by the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) as one of the recipients of the 2021 Robert B. Hurley Distinguished Service Award. This award was established by the association to recognize those whose efforts have had a positive impact on workplace safety. Other recipients of the award are Representative Paul Tonko (NY-20) and Representative Jim Langevin (RI-02).

ISEA is the national trade association for personal protective equipment. It’s members, including Valley, NE based 3M, design, manufacture, and supply equipment that saves lives, prevents injuries, and preserves health for workers around the world.

"I am extremely grateful to accept this year's Distinguished Service Award from ISEA,” said Rep. Bacon. “Reps. Tonko, Langevin, and I worked together on the Health Care Workforce Protection Act of 2019 which proved to be vital during COVID-19, granting quicker manufacturing of respiratory protective devices for healthcare workers and first responders. Whether in a pandemic or not, it is important we always advocate for our manufacture workers and remove production obstacles to safeguard the health of those serving in the medical field."
