Rep. Bacon Encourages Town Hall Attendees to Wear Blue in Honor of Upcoming Police Week

National Police Week is May 14-20

Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) is encouraging attendees of the town hall on Saturday, May 13 at Bennington Elementary School, 11620 N 156th St., to wear blue in honor of National Police Week, which is May 14 through May 20.

“Our men and women in blue are driven to serve the public and protect life, limb, and property of their community and I believe we should honor them for doing so,” said Congressman Bacon. “By wearing blue, we show that we stand with them as they protect us and our neighborhoods.”

“I look forward to receiving insightful questions and having a constructive dialog with my constituents at the town hall,” he added. “My hope is that we will continue to work together to develop meaningful policies and solutions that will propel the cities and people of the Second District to higher levels of prosperity and achievement.”

In addition to the town hall in Bennington, town halls are also scheduled for Elkhorn and South Omaha on Saturday, May 20.  Other town halls are still being arranged to visit the remaining communities of the Second District.

Constituents can receive notifications about future town halls by signing up for Congressman Bacon’s email list on his website: bacon.house.gov. All town halls are open to constituents of the Second District and the media.
