OMAHA, NE Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) today announced he will host a Small Business Procurement Conference and a Paths to Success: Education Fair; both open to all residents of the Second Congressional District.

The Small Business Procurement Conference will be held Wednesday, August 23 from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the LaVista Public Library, 9110 Giles Road. This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs and small businesses to get immediate access to contracting agencies. Representatives from the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) at the Nebraska Business Development Center, the Defense Logistics Agency (Small Business Office), and the Defense Contract Management Agency will show how to do business with the federal government. The contracting offices from the 55th Wing at Offutt AFB, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Omaha Division), the National Park Service (Midwest Region), and the Department of Veterans Affairs will be on hand to talk about the types of products and services they are looking to receive. Additionally, there will be time for one on one with all the presenting agencies to ensure attendees can gain as much information as needed to contract with these federal agencies.  Those wishing to attend this free event must register in advance as space is limited. https://ne02fedcontracting.eventbrite.com
