Washington, D.C. – Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02) issued the following statement regarding the United States Supreme Court’s decision in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Inc. v Bruen:

“Law-abiding Americans were delivered a victory when the Supreme Court affirmed that they have a right to defend themselves without unnecessary interference from the government. The Supreme Court has on numerous occasions reaffirmed and strengthened the Second Amendment including this decision, while the Ninth Circuit Court also affirmed it by declaring California’s age restrictions on gun purchase unconstitutional.”
