Yesterday our longtime friends and allies in the United Kingdom were subjected to a cowardly attack at Parliament that shocked and saddened our nation. I strongly condemn these acts of terrorism that are being used to try and inflict fear in the hearts of many. The cowards who carry out these acts have no regard for human life and we must remain vigilant in protecting our nation from those who are engaging in a new kind of war with us; one that shows no boundaries. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is in close contact with our British counterparts to offer any support needed for the ongoing investigation. I stand in solidarity with our British allies and send them my prayers and thoughts.
