With the threat of a federal government shutdown looming, Rep. Don Bacon said the only way to avoid that outcome is for Republicans to work with Democrats to pass a funding plan.

Congress and President Joe Biden have until Saturday to agree on a funding bill in order to prevent a federal shutdown that would start Sunday. It would suspend a range of government services, furlough thousands of workers and risk damaging the economy.
