Vietnam veterans given a long overdue 'welcome home' in Papillion

At Hillcrest Health Services around 100 vets and military spouses were honored for their service. "I think we do a great job of that now. Back in the 60s and 70s, we didn't do a great job of that. And so, it's really made up for some of that the lack of recognition that we've done in the past," Hillcrest CEO Dr. Tony Hatcher said. Offutt Air Force Base's honor guard performed the presentation and retiring of colors. POW and MIA soldiers were remembered by the 'missing man' table. Congressman Don Bacon's team gave the retirement community an American flag that flew above the U.S. Capitol recently. https://www.ketv.com/article/papillion-vietnam-veterans-given-long-overdue-welcome-home/60323863
