Rep. Bacon to Recognize Local Police Officers in Floor SpeechNational Police Week is May 14-20

Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) this week honored law enforcement members of the Second Congressional District as part of National Police Week, which is May 14 through May 20, by recognizing law enforcement during a speech on the House floor and encouraging attendees at his last town hall to wear blue. “Our men and women in blue are driven to serve the public and protect the life, limb, and property of their community and I believe we should honor them for doing so,” said Congressman Bacon. “I thank those who wore blue in honor of law enforcement to the town hall last weekend.” The Second Congressional district is home to two sheriff offices, a large urban police force, numerous other police departments, the Nebraska State Patrol, and a hand full of federal agencies. Congressman Bacon will be honoring these agencies and several individuals for their service in law enforcement. “There are members of the law enforcement community who serve, retire, and move on in their lives,” added Congressman Bacon. “These professionals have the gratitude of the constituents of my district and I want to thank them for their dedication to protect and serve.” Those being recognized in the floor speech are:
