OMAHA, NE - Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) released the following statement in response to the President's plan to address border security and opening the government:

"The President has offered once again to negotiate and find a middle ground that secures our border and opens the rest of government. While the President’s plan doesn’t offer a permanent solution for DACA and TPS, I support this compromise as a first step. It is time for Pelosi and Schumer to negotiate in good faith and stop the shutdown, instead of just saying no. In this case, just saying no hurts our country and continues this harmful gridlock."
