Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) and his staff will be hosting an Emergency Preparedness Event on September 21, 2019 for individuals and families in the 2nd Congressional District to connect with agencies and organizations who will educate them on how to be prepared in the event of an emergency or disaster. This free event will be held at the Omaha Public Library, Millard Branch from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will include interactive activities for everyone including a smoke escape trailer from the Omaha Fire Department, police cruisers and information from 22 agencies.
What: Emergency Preparedness Event for Individuals and Families of Nebraska’s 2nd Congressional District
Why: So that individuals and families can learn to plan for supplies, where to go, how to locate others, etc. in the event of a disaster or emergency.
Who: Rep. Don Bacon and staff, constituents of the 2nd Congressional District of Nebraska, and 22 emergency preparedness organizations and agencies including FEMA and the Omaha Fire Department, along with their smoke trailer.
