Bacon Votes No on Continuing Resolution

Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) today voted no on a Continuing Resolution to keep the government funded through December 20, 2019. He released the following statement:

“Over the last two years we have made great progress in restoring the readiness and modernization of our military, but under the leadership of Speaker Pelosi these gains are now unraveling. House Democrat leadership are not willing to meet in the middle and have put an anti-Trump agenda ahead of our national security. This Continuing Resolution will delay the repairs needed for Offutt AFB; will result in a significant reduction in terms of spending for our military; and will delay the fielding of new weapons programs. That is why I voted ‘no.’ We must send a strong message that we cannot undermine our national security, to include delaying the repairs at Offutt AFB, because of the hyper-partisan politics of the House leadership.”
