– Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) today issued a statement regarding his vote on H.Res. 326; legislation that intentionally distorts the position of Israel and the proper role of Congress:  

“Today I voted no on H.Res. 326, which pretends to show support for a two-state solution but is really a one-sided criticism of Israel. While it makes vague allusions to Palestinian actions that are counter-productive to peaceful negotiations, it specifically highlights settlements and annexation on the part of Israel. It also states that ‘only’ a two-state solution can ensure Israel’s survival and fulfill Palestinian aspirations. That is an inappropriate demand for the U.S. Congress to make, which is not a party to the conflict.”
