Bacon Issues Statement on Biden’s Blank Check:

Washington, D.C.  – Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02) issued the following statement after voting no to raise the debt ceiling:

“I share the concern of most Nebraskans that our country’s debt continues to grow, and that Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats just signed a blank check for President Biden. Today’s vote gives President Biden the green light to spend without restriction through December 16, 2022. It is irresponsible to not place a specific amount and allow this Administration to go on a shopping spree. Further, the Dems are trying to spend $6.2 trillion without a single GOP vote but don’t want to be candid on how high they want to raise the debt limit.”
