Washington, D.C. – Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02) issued the following statement after voting against holding Steve Bannon in contempt of Congress:

“I supported a bipartisan commission to investigate what January 6 and warned that the alternative was a partisan select committee where Speaker Pelosi would veto Republican members from being on the committee. And it happened. For the first time in the history of Congress, the Speaker vetoed minority members who were nominated by their party. By doing so, she delegitimized this select committee by her partisanship and I won’t facilitate her behavior.”
