Washington, D.C. - Rep. Bacon today introduced H.R. 6203, the Emergency Snap Staffing Flexibility Act of 2021 to allow contractors to determine the eligibility of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) recipients:

“States need more flexibility in the process for determining eligibility for SNAP programs, which provide food to those who are in need. There is an extended backlog in the review of SNAP applications and this legislation will allow States to work with contractors to process the applications in a quicker and more efficient manner.”
