Growing the 'Silicon Prairie': Nebraska receiving over $750 million investment from Google


PAPILLION, Neb. —Nebraska is receiving an investment from Google worth more than $750 million for data centers, offices and more.

The funds, part of a $9.5 billion investment nationwide by Google, was announced Thursday at an event at the company's Papillion data center featuring Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts and Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert.
