Rep. Don Bacon (NE-02) issued the following statement in regards to Aetna's announcement today:

"The rescue mission to save health care for Nebraskans just became mission critical with the announcement by Aetna that they would not be offering on -or off -exchange individual plans in Nebraska. This move by Aetna can be placed squarely on the structural issues with the current marketplace that have led to carriers leaving and co-ops failing. How can we expect Americans to have any faith in the ACA, which is imploding at an even faster pace than originally anticipated? We must act now to save healthcare for Americans. The AHCA is the first step in doing just that. I urge my colleagues in the Senate to act quickly."
