Congressman Don Bacon (NE-02) released the following statement on his co-sponsorship of the CHIME Act:

“The Community Health Investment, Modernization and Excellence (CHIME) Act extends the Community Health Centers Fund (CHCF) for five years. Community Health Centers provide primary care for more than 25 million Americans, and provide access and quality care to many in Nebraska. OneWorld Community Health Centers and the Charles Drew Health Center, both in Nebraska’s Second Congressional District, rely on this funding. In 2015, these health centers provided care to over 47,000 Nebraskans. The extension of this funding would allow community health centers to continue providing care for patients across the United States. I look forward to working with my House colleagues to pass this legislation.”
